We were all blown away by the number of people that came to the Bristol Processing Community Day and had such a fun afternoon of exploring art and code with people of all ages and coding abilities! All stations were busy for the whole event, with zine-making, potato printing, vinyl-cutting, coding and more. I had an amazingly fun and silly time in the Sphero corner playing with robots and introducing kids (and adults) to code by programming the robot’s behaviours in Scratch.
The day was part of the global Processing Community Day created by the people that created the open source coding sketchbook processing. It really highlighted for us how many lovely people in Bristol there are that are keen to get involved in more events like this. Hopefully this will be the start of great things to come with a fabulous community of artists and coders.
